It's the truth!

Ten Truths:

10. When I go to a public restroom, I read the sign that says "women", take a few steps then back up to double check making sure I'm entering the ladies room. This is almost a ritualistic,  OCD thing. Yet somehow,  I walked into the men's room in front of my family at Dennys last winter. Embarrassing!

9. I'm shy. Like for real shy. I might not say hi to you at the grocery store because I'm awkward.

8. Contrary to #9, in small groups I think I am quite hilarious. Somehow my words make sense and people laugh...

7. Laughter is by far my favorite medicine.  Unless of course I have just had a C-section. Laughter, sneezing,  coughing = big no, no's after I had my 5 babies.

6. Before we had children, my husband always claimed he wanted 4 or 5. I would roll my eyes in doubt. Matt was smarter than I gave him credit for. 5 kids has been great! Crazy... but still great.

5. I like to think that I cry more "love" tears than happy or sad tears. Maybe that doesn't make much sense but, when I love someone I am liable to cry at the drop of a hat. Not to mention I love a lot. So what I'm really saying is; I cry often :). My eyes turn a very beautiful blue when they are tear stained ;)

4. One of my greatest accomplishments has been overcoming my fear of public speaking.  I spoke on a panel in front of peers about children with disabilities and felt so rewarded! When asked to tell "my story" at church I reluctantly accepted and again, victory!  How freeing to have some control over something that once scared the words right out of me.

3. My 7 year old plays candy crush under my name. He is actually very strategic and quite brilliant about the way he plays.  Sorry if you receive game requests :). Perhaps I would play it more if I had more perseverance or patience ;).

2. I worry too much.

1. I'm passionate about many things.  Especially about My family, advocating for my kids and the Lord. I think it is one of my greatest qualities :) makes me easier to love!
